Professional Development for Artists
The Professional Development Opportunities for Teachers Program provides professional development for artists who are interested in working with the Kennedy Center. We provide three events, each with a different focus:
The
Artist Seminar
The Artist Seminar is designed for artists and arts educators who
would like to develop participatory workshops for teachers. Participation
in the Seminar is the "gateway" to potential work with the Professional
Development Opportunities for Teachers program at the Kennedy Center.
Orientation
for Workshop Leaders
The Orientation for Workshop Leaders is provided for new
workshop leaders at the Kennedy Center each year to usher in the new season
of Professional Development. Artists who are interested in becoming workshop
leaders for the Professional Development Opportunities for Teachers Program

Workshop Leader
Retreat
The Kennedy Center provides an invitational retreat open
only to workshop leaders who have previously presented workshops for teachers
at the Kennedy Center. Artisits interested in becoming workshop leaders
