The 2008 National Symphony Orchestra
Season Opening Ball

On Saturday, September 20, 2008, the National Symphony Orchestra will host its 50th annual Season Opening Ball to inaugurate the 2008-2009 artistic season. Itzhak Perlman will lead the NSO in a breathtaking performance, joined by Israeli violinist Pinchas Zukerman, who has received worldwide applaud for his infectious style, and the young cellist Alisa Weilerstein, a virtuoso hailed for her expressive range. The evening will continue with an elegant dinner and dancing under a pavilion on the Kennedy Center's South Plaza.

The NSO is thrilled to announce that the 2008 Season Opening Ball chairs are Eleanor and Nicholas Chabraja and Adrienne Arsht.
